I spoke to an angel today.
Her words were amazing.
( ok so she wasn't a real angel... but there is a special place in heaven for her!!!)
Yesterday Jake and I had a meeting with Signature Homes. This company is the same company that my sister works for. They had heard about mine and Jake's trouble with our house after the tornado and were willing to help out. They came to Anna and asked if there was anything they could do. Anna gave the ALL the details and they came up with a mission.
Mission as in Habitat for Humanity type mission. They want to build our home back for free.!!! ( did you read this right, amazingly yes... its free)
The meeting was incredibly. A little confusing after we left.. just because we are not sure exactly when or will it happen. It almost sounded to good to be true. There are a few extra inside stuff about the meeting I will spare you.. because it don't matter.. What matters is they want to get us back home.
When I hear to word Home it means everything. It is not just a house. Its our home. Where my family has memories. and for someone to want to get us back home means the world to me. She said that she thinks that depending on their vendors they can get things done in about a week and a half. Their goal is for us to be moved in by thanksgiving. I am super excited!!!! Please keep prayers coming our way.. we need this to happen for us. its a miracle. Our prayers have been answered. Its still hard to believe. =)

Menu/reciepes!
Have I said how much I love FALL?
Its absolutely breath taking. The weather and sun shine is beautiful!
Along with this wonderful October weather come Halloween and great food! ha!
One of my favorite soups for cold weather is taco soup! I got this along time ago from my aunt Cathy. Jake loves it and requested it all the time! its super easy and ill share it with you so you can cook it with your family!
1 pound Ground Beef
Can Corn
Can Chili Bean
Can Black Bean
Can Rotel
Ranch Packet
Taco Packet
Just brown the meat and dump the rest in to a boil. You can double the recipes and or add different tomatoes or beans. =) Enjoy!
I already have my menu for Thanksgiving too!! ( by the way, I am super excited to cook thanksgiving in my new kitchen!!! whopp whopp)
I might change it up a bit but this is the menu:

6-8 slices bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup of chopped red onion
1/2 cup of raisins
8 ounces of sharp Cheddar
1 cup mayo
2 tablespoons of white vinegar
1/4 cup of sugar
1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes
salt and pepper

Reveal
Last night we went over to Kacie's Parents house to find out what Jordan and Kacie were having. Jake and I had a good time! They had sweets and we all talked until everyone had gotten there. When the last person arrive .. it wasn't no time till we found out! Kacie gave each grandparent a black balloon. Jordan counted to 3 and BOOM all grandparents popped their balloon and BLUE confetti went everywhere!!!
Congrats Jordan and Kacie on having a BOY! Super excited and cant wait for our boys to get in a big mess together!! ha ha

sickness
Friday was a long day. and the weekend was even longer.
Kaleb had his 6 months pictures done with Taylor Haynie Photography. Which by the way, she is awesome! I love her pictures. She is super nice and I would recommend her to everyone! Anyways, we had pictures with her at 12. Let me back up though and tell you that Kaleb woke up this morning with his eyes shut! Poor baby woke up screaming! I would to if I couldnt open my eyes! He has so much crusty eye buggers and snot it was terrible. I got a warm wash cloth and wiped them away. He didnt feel good the rest of the day so pictures were a little crazy at 12.. but we managed. Also Friday he had his 6 month doctors apt. at 4. Im glad we went and got him checked out in case he was starting to get sick. Which in fact he did! All weekend he had a low grade fever. His eyes got worse and he got a cough. He didnt go to church sunday and yesterday I had to take him to the doctor again to see if he was catching something worse. Which in fact he was. He has a ear infection! Poor baby! At the doctor friday though he got his shots and they said he was a healthy growing boy~ he was 75 percent in his growth. He weighs 19 pounds. and we can introduce more foods now and a little water if I chose to give that as well.
Anyway, hope all of yall have a great weekend. and wonderful week this week!

6 months old
Can you believe it?
Half a year old . wow.
where has time gone?
Kaleb has been away from home for 6 months!! Yet to sleep in his own bedroom. BUt he has no clue and he will be sleeping in his own room very soon!!
Highlights:
He can sit in the floor now on his own!!
The other night he even got in the crawling position!
I think he weighs about 21 pds? but we will find out at the doctor this friday.
He is in 12 months clothes and size 2 shoes. But i think I will need to buy 3's very soon! he is a big boy and growing stronger everyday!!
He loves fruit and oatmeal way better than his veggies. But Im totally ok with him eating fruit. That is healthy right??

Fall
I love Fall weather!
Lately it has really felt like Fall and with it getting night faster in the afternoon the seasons have definatly changed! I love seeing all the colors in the trees. They are BEAUTIFUL!
Here are some pictures of Jake and I taking Kaleb to his first Pumpkin Patch. We had so much fun! Cant wait to do it again next year when he can walk and ride all the rides and bounce on the jumpers! =)

The Weekend
I dont know about yall, but there is not enough hours in the day nor enough days for the weekend!
Life lately has been crazy . I have so many chores I need to accomplish and so many other ideas in my head for me to schedule into my heckic world these days. But this weekend was great dispite the crazy hours.
Friday morning I had a yard sale! I got up about 6 or before and get things set out and ready and then I woke Kaleb up to take him to daycare before I had "customers" at the house. The yard sale when great. I didnt think I would have that many people come and buy becuase I was thinking everyone would be at work and more poeple would come by on saturday. But I was wrong. I actually sold more and had more customer traffic friday. I made a little over 200 bucks and i didnt really have that many items. My cousin helped me. If i didnt have her I would have been a mad woman tring to keep up with money and my dog cuase poor Glory wanted to greet everyone that stopped by.
After the yard sale I went to my house and started painting the first coat. I picked out a sage green color. Its actually called Herbal Wash. it looks great! Then later that afternoon I picked Kaleb back up and then had dinner with my MIL and SIL. always good to see them and be with family! =)
Saturday I continued the yard sale. I sold a few more items but like I said nothing to great. My sister actually came and helped me this time and added a few more of her items and they sold the most. So im glad she got to make some money too. Our trash makes another ones treasure!!
After that we went to my grandmothers sister 90 birthday party. It was ok. ha not to much to say but old folks talking and showing Kaleb off and eating some food and punch you didnt quiet know what it was made off. Ha! we did our good deed and then headed back home. I then went back to the house and worked a little bit until it was time for Jake to get home from the hunting club. Man was Kaleb and I ready to see daddy! =) I had it when he is gone. =( When he got home we had breakfast for supper ( always better at night for some reason )and then watch the GA game. GO DOGS!!
Sunday I had to work in the church nursery but then when I got home( side note: when I say home, I dont really mean home. I mean the house or rental house we are staying at the moment. Nothing is home until I can finally say Im back home in concord) we loaded Kaleb up in the car and went for a drive! We took him to his first pumpkin patch and then had lunch and went to bass pro shop! It was super fun! So glad we went and we had the best time! it was raining but who cares we made the most of it!

WORKPLACE
HI , My name is ______ I am an addict of FACEBOOK
ha, I think this lady i work with is for real addicted to facebook.
This is a real problem. She has worked for our company , let say, 30 some old years? and she has just now become a problem and may be on the verge of being fired. Its ridiculous to be possible fired over something like this. But whatever. Better her than me.
Our system at the workplace is a domino effect. Every ones work is affecting others. When her pile of papers stacks higher and higher everyday... that should mean something. HELLOOOOO get to work! About a month a go it was terrible, but then she had a meeting with her manager. She was told to "step it up". Her pile of papers were divided among the other ladies to "help her out".
During the work day she has many tasks. But these tasks are being taken up by facebook. She is addicted to Yo Ville. I have no clue what this is. but apparently its COOl ...NOT . Ive heard you have to purchase some things to play the game. so she is probably spending her paycheck on crap. Her husband has been complaining of cooking and cleaning.. i guess because when she gets home she immediately gets on the computer to play the game again. She has also now been discussing about how tired she is.. and has been caught asleep at work!!!! did yall read that correctly.. yes. ASLEEP. if you are too tired to work than go home. this has got to stop! I am tired at work too because i have a busy life these days.. but do i sleep at work? NOPE i would get fired. Does she get fired.. nope she claims she has to take medicine and the medicine makes her drowsy. BULL CRAP!
Anyways, I just caught her in the bathroom. Not using the bathroom but on her cell phone playing yo ville. she was in there for like 20 Min's. I guess that's her way of taking up some time during the work day? What is her managers problem. What the heck is he smoking ? ha
I need everyone reading this to take a moment of silence and pray for this lady. she has a addiction that needs special attention. She is keeping from her grandchildren , her life, her husband, her friends, her job. She needs to get back to her life and be happy again. She is needs a meeting and say this

Life Lately
Life Lately has been a little crazy!
I just recently got over a sinus infection. Last Tuesday I went to the doctor and was told I needed rest and meds. I went home and took a nap and tired to get as much antibiotic in me so that Mr. Kaleb wouldn't catch what I had. It must have worked because I feel better today and he only has a little running nose. =)
Kaleb is almost sitting up by himself. He loves to sit up and look around at everything and play. When he gets excited though he gets wobbly and then falls down. He has also started laughing. Yesterday I fed him carrots and bananas and when he got done i got a wash rag and wiped his hands. When i was doing that, he thought that rag was the funniest thing he had ever seen. He cracked up laughing as i was cleaning him up.. Weird but precious!! He will turn 6 month soon and will go to his check up apt. Cant wait to get a report on how he is growing.
We got a visit today from another little baby this morning at work! He is the cutest little bugger!! Baby Braxton was born a month after Kaleb. He has the same actions as my little one and about the same size. It made me a little sad because I missed my baby. But I was thrilled to finally meet Braxton. I had heard so many great stories of him and seeing him topped off my morning!! =)
Update on our house... Our house is still under construction. We had already passed the 50 percent mark. Thank goodness its coming along nicely. I am still hoping we will move in before thanksgiving , maybe even Halloween if we can speed it up. We have the floors installed and the windows. The trim is going in this week so we can start painting the inside. I believe we will finish the porch and the siding next week or before. Our roof looks incredible. The guy finished that up last week. =) We also finally got our money in. We have a few complications with it, but nothing we cant handle. Just blessed we finally have some money to work with.
my work is busy. I should get back to it, but my mind is else where. I focus and think about the house projects and stuff for fall and Halloween. Kaleb's first Halloween and football games are so much fun!! cant wait to post pictures and do some more scrap booking in his book. =)
