Halloween 2013

I am a little late updating on Halloween but oh well. Halloween night was pretty relaxing for us. We never really like to plan to much on this night because there can be so much traffic and its just  too hard.  I don't think Kaleb really understands yet what Halloween is all about anyway. He just thinks it's a party! haha

We had Anna, Alex and baby Cael over to trick or treat with us around the neighborhood and to have some supper. Nothing fancy and the kiddos had a good time going to a few houses before the rain came in!

Weekend Recap and Others

We had a really great weekend! Hope yall did too!!

Friday, Jake went to the hunting club and we decided to hang out at Nonnie and PePaw's house so I'd have help with Kaleb. Kaleb loves riding the 4-wheeler and taking bubble baths over there!

Saturday we had a birthday party to go too. It was so cute and so much fun! My friends little boy, Walker, turned one!! He has a little Monster themed bash at Tannehill State Park. It was a beautiful day for it and Kaleb had a great time with all the other kids! After the party we went straight home and took naps... Lord, I was so tired!! We both slept till 6.. I wanted to keep sleeping but I was hungry. SO I got up and made us dinner and then by 7 we were both in our PJ's and we watched Nemo in my bed! I love spending time with my little buddy!

Sunday we got up and went to church and then picked up my sister and baby Cael for an adventure at the deer farm! The Spinks family are super sweet and have such a love for their farm animals! Cael loved it! It was there first time there and they were amazed~ Kaleb got so closed to one of the does, she let him pet her!! He was so cute!!! We can’t wait to go back!

 

We were both excited to see Daddy when he got home Sunday! I can’t wait till the hunting club is all fixed up so we can join him in a couple of weeks. Kaleb asks all day long.. Where is daddy?... and I love having his help.. SO needless to say Sunday was a great day having him home! We finished up our night having a little family dinner at Logan’s Steak House! =)

We are enjoying the cool nights and getting ready for Halloween!!

Kaleb is going to be Spiderman!

Soon we are going to carve pumpkins and I think this coming up weekend we are going to try and take him to the pumpkin patch!

We ordered and received Lilly's bedding last week! Pottery Barn -Brooklynn. I absolutely love it!! Her room is cleaned out and soon we will get started painting. I got back to the doctor on Oct. 30th.

 

I heard on the radio over the weekend about Christmas Village at the BJCC coming up in November.. Freaking can’t wait. Love going there =)

 

 

Gender Reveal Party

This post is a little a week late.... But...

 

Jake and I had our big ultrasound appointment with the doctor Wednesday, October 2nd.

Baby looked really good. Baby measured smaller than Kaleb at this point.

Kaleb's was 19 weeks - 10.5 oz - Heart beat 156

Baby was 18 and 4 days- 9 oz- Heart beat 151

 

She checked all the organs and did her part and then it was time to reveal the gender. Baby was in a ball and wasn't letting us find out easy...  She had me roll over alot to make the legs spread. Finally we got the result =)

She did find something that was alittle bit alarming to me at first.. ( but totally normal and is safe for me and baby)  my placenta is in the way of the birth canal. Which means if it doesn't move I would have to have a c-section. That is fine and it has plenty of time to move. They will check me again later on to see if it has moved.

My blood pressure and measurement were good. My iron was really low so they did put me on iron supplements ( that is nothing new , b/c I had the same thing with Kaleb) and I got my flu shot.

I have also gained 7 pounds and go back for a check up on October 30th.

 

 The appointment went great and we were so excited to share the news to our family and friends on Friday October 4th!!

 

With help from my Mom and Sister , the party turned out great! I loved it and I want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate with us!!

 

*here are a few highlights*

 

I wanted a "fall" gender reveal party. I had "pinned" and research ways to tell everyone. A friend of mind made these adorable Scratch Off Cards. They were perfect =)

 

These were little outfits that we had purchased a while back , I thought it was cute to display them again with the ultrasound pictures

The night was so fun! We enjoyed everyone's company and eating good food!! I had been saying for awhile now I couldn't wait till it was cold outside for a bon- fire and s'mores!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

17 & 18 weeks baby post

Size of Baby: about 5 ounces - or the size of a Turnip!

 

 

Total Weight Gain/loss: Gain about 5 pounds

 

Gender: Finding out Oct. 2nd!

 

Movement: Yes! I have been feeling "something" for a week or so now. I haven't felt a distinct "kick" but I know where he or she is at!

 

Symptoms: I still haven't got sick. I do feel tired  and still having some pains in the afternoon.

 

Cravings: Nothing really, just hungry and thirsty. I love some Orange Juice but I don't really crave it

 

What I miss: My clear face. I hate acne!

 

What I am looking forward too: Knowing what the gender is and looking forward to having a gender reveal party!

Size of baby: about 7 ounces about the size of a bell pepper

 

Total Weight gain or loss: Gain about 5-7 lbs. Not really sure , every scale is different!

 

Gender: Finding out Oct. 2nd!

 

Movement: It's weird to me how sometimes I think I feel it and sometimes I feel like I am crazy. When I lay down flat, you can feel and see a bulge from my stomach of exactly where the baby is at. Crazyness...

 

Symptoms: Still feeling pretty good! No sickness and just tired in the afternoons. When I start to hurt I lay down and Daddy Jake takes over for the afternoon =)

 

Cravings: Nothing really yet. All though I have just recently bought some Mint Chocolate Ice cream that I like to eat before bed. Man that junk is good!

 

What I miss: Nothing really... My skin still has its moments.

 

 

What I am looking forward too: I am thrilled to know that in just one week we will get to see you again at the doctor and know what you are and your name!! Well I guess we have your name, ha. We are still debating in this department. Kaleb thinks you are a sister and your name is Lilly. =)

 

I have ordered some "details" for the gender party and I am so excited!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Weekend Excitment!

So Friday was exciting because I got to come home early... Not a planned thing. Kaleb was sick and had a fever. I took him to the doctor and strep came back negative. I was glad I got to spend my afternoon with him. I never liked to be called from Daycare, but I was missing my little bugger.

 

Saturday had some excitement because I got to shop around Hoover while little man stayed home with Daddy.=) The day was gorgeous and I loved being able to do anything! I went to babies R Us and got more for my "stock pile" and then to Hobby Lobby for the wreaths. Let me just say the wreaths are not my finest work.  Its over and done with and the next wreath I make will be for hospital on the door,  in fact I may just buy that one, haha!

Jake and I had nothing planned except for on Sunday and that fell through.. SO he cut grass Saturday and laid around with Kaleb. After Kaleb's fever went down Friday night, he then developed a rash. This rash has now taken over... He feels fine.. Just looks a little weird.

Sunday I kept him from church since I wasn't to sure about his rash. Jake went and played golf. Kaleb and I were invited to come and ride with him on the last 9 holes. You have no idea how huge this was for Kaleb. Jake made is DAY!!! and Kaleb made Daddy's Day!!!
You hear of little boys loving baseball and playing T-ball when they turn 3.. Well this little sucker plays golf in the yard 24/7. He was stoked he got to play with him!! Looks like I may need to buy him a real " youth " set from Santa!

Today , after calling the nurse, We have concluded that Kaleb has " Hand , Foot , Mouth Diease"
He didnt go to school today, Hoping he can go tomorrow. Prayers for little dude, that he feels better!!

Happy Friday the 13th!!

 

 

 

Does anyone like watching Scary Movies on Friday the 13th? I do!!!

 

 

I am so freaking glad today is Friday... I can not wait to be done with work for the day and be home for the weekend. We have nothing huge planned over the weekend. Our bulldogs are off this weekend so we are up for anything! Tomorrow I am planning on driving over to Babies R US and purchasing more for the "STOCK PILE" =) I have some coupons that I need to use. Then I plan on running over to Hobby Lobby and getting some things to make a few wreaths! I don't usually make them, so wish me luck!! Ill post pictures next week of the finished results!

I have requested to the sweet hubs to wash my car =) and steaks on the grill tonight! yummy!! =)

 

Sunday is church day and for naps. Looking forward to it!!
